Me so happy

There's one thing that always makes me happy. My ball. Sure I love all balls, but this ball is the best. It bounces high, fits in my mouth perfectly and is easy to find in the grass. I love my orange ball. I can't imagine my life without it. What do you love?

Sadie Boo

Then after a week or so back in Charlotte, back we went to PA. This time papi had some work to do, so mami and I went to go hang out with granny, grandpapi and Sadie.

There she is.
My Boo.

She's spunky.

And I love her!

Really she's my new BFF.

Even more family

After Clarion, off we went to my other grammy and grandpy's house.

They have a giant swimming pool and even let me go for a swim with the kids!

I've done a lot of swimming, but that was my very first time in a pool!

I was one real happy girl.

I didn't get a photo with her, but grammy and grandpy have their own Golden too.
Her name is Taffy. She is an old girl, but still loves to play ball with me. Next time I'll get some pictures of her. Xoxo, love you Taffy!

PA, my 9th state!

On my first trip to Pennsylvania I got to stay with my granny and grandpapi that I hadn't yet met! They also have a little puppy dog, my Sadie Boo. Technically she is my aunt, but really she's littler than me. I'm still trying to figure that one out. Look at what we did while we were there!

We took a boat ride down a giant river.

I got a little miffed that they wouldn't let me get in the water yet,
but eventually I got to go for a dip.

A couple of days later, I tried to teach Boo Boo how to swim.

She was too scared to get in but after she got wet, she went a little crazy.
Grandpapi call it her Zoomies!

Mia is no longer MIA

Hey friends. I'm sorry that I haven't written in a while. I'm still adjusting to our new home and lifestyle. Plus we've been on the road quite a bit, as you may have seen on my mami's blog. We've traveled back to Pennsylvania to see our family a couple of times. I have lots of playmates there, but not really any here in Charlotte.....and that makes me sad. This afternoon I'm curled up next to my mami on the couch, feeling a little sorry for myself. If you know a nice dog in my neighborhood that would like to be friends with this puppy girl, please send them my way. Until then I'll keep dreaming of my friends back in PA. Let me tell you about them.

Bailey is a baby Golden.

He's not a dog, but I love my Uncle Ryan.

And my absolute favorite is my Aunt Sadie.
She's a Goldendoodle.

She's littler than me, but really fun just the same.

I play real gentle with her, I promise.

I'm trying to teach her how to swim.
After all she is part retriever.

Granny prefers to keep her fluffy,
but Sadie gets a little wild.

And she's quick as a whip!

A big ball of firey energy!

Over the next few days, I'll fill you in a little more.
Sorry I left you for so long.
I'll try to be better,
just for you.

xoxo,
Mia

Pet Friendly

Since I don't have a home to hang out in while we're settling in, I get to go along with my mami and papi on all of their errands. Lucky for me we've found some really nice stores that don't mind pets at all - especially the well behaved kind like me. Good thing too because it's still pretty hot here in Charlotte and if I had to stay in the car, I'd be one hot dog!

I helped my dad pick out our new washer & dryer at the Home Depot.

And then, mami and I picked up some paint at Lowes.

Everybody is pretty amazed by the way I just lounge in the cart, but hey I'm there to relax!!

Home away from home

Well we've got a new home, but we're not sleeping in it....yet. For now the Drury Inn is our home away from home in Charlotte. My mami and papi like it there because they have an awesome pet policy. It's so easy. I just walk in to the front desk, my mami signs a paper and then we get our room. Nothing to it and it doesn't cost them a thing! I like it 'cause the parking lot is huge and there's a big grassy field out back for me to play in! Sure, it's not home, but it's good enough for now.

The king size bed fits all 3 of us!

So you think you can dance?

You didn't know I was so talented, did you?

Haha! Just kidding! That's not me. Everybody knows I prefer to salsa!

My Goldie girls!

I ♥ Denver. I've made the best girlfriends here! I know mami and papi said we'll soon have to go, but I wish so much we could stay....and I think my mami does too. We want to go back to the park with Ellie & Halley. They are so much fun!

I'll miss you girls, but I promise to come back and visit one day.
Don't forget me!

It's not winter!

Our last weekend in Denver, my mami and papi took me to a place they call Winter Park. I know I'm just a warm weather dog, but I'm pretty sure there was no winter at this big park!

We stay in Brian & Angie's condo with a whole bunch of friends and all had a very nice time.

Sunday was my mami and papi's 6th anniversary, and to celebrate they took me hiking for the day. The 3 of us had so much fun. I hope they had a wonderful anniversary. I know I did!

I did it again

Look friends! I found myself a fountain in Denver.

This one's almost big enough for swimming!

Colorado Girl

I'm really beginning to love this place my mami and papi call Colorado. The weather is nice and I don't find myself panting all day long! My first day here I went for a dip in a icy cold river, but it didn't bother me one bit!

Play Date!

At long last, tonight I finally met my mami's friend Toni Ann's Golden girl, Halley. Yay! She's just a few months older than me and so nice and pretty. We spent a good hour or so rolling around in the grass, having a good old time! Mami says we are gonna get together again on Friday. Yipee! I ♥ Halley!

See you soon new friend!

I'm One!

Boy oh boy, did I ever have a great birthday. It was so great that mami and papi extended it a whole extra day....and maybe more!

The day began with a very special breakfast treat. Mami says from now on, this is going to be my breakfast.....so delicious!

My regular food with a scoop of natural yogurt and ocean kelp (to keep my teeth nice!)

Afterward they gave me a present......

We're gonna call him "Ocho."

Then we packed up the car and went to Boulder to hike in Chautauqua Park. Unfortunately I had to stay on the leash since it cost $20 to get a voice and sight dog tag. Papi said the crazy rules are just another reason we folks in Denver say Boulder is a nice place to visit, but we'd never want to live there! Leash or no leash, I made the best of it. Of course it was super hot and there wasn't any water to splash in, but it was still fun to explore.

Mami was disappointed about the leash, but I told her not to worry.

Birthday belly rubs from papi!

Just call me a flower child!

We had so much fun!

When we got back to Denver mami and papi took me to a dog park. It was my first time in a park like this. The place was packed! I wasn't quite sure what to think since all the other dogs wanted to take my new bouncy Chuck It balls. The verdict is still out on whether or not I want to go back.

After a couple of stops by friends' houses, we came back home. It was late and I was dog tired. So tired in fact that we had to skip my birthday cupcakes.....well we did split one for our picnic lunch, but mami had something special planned, so we continued the celebration this morning.

We had a birthday photo shoot.
I wasn't so crazy about the hat, but I didn't mind the necklace.

Then we took the obligatory photos with the 'rents.

After some singing, we blew out the candle.

And then I chowed down!

We even made plans to visit Chattfield Reservoir dog park this afternoon but then the battery in the car died. We were all pretty disappointed, but papi promised that we'll go another day, so my birthday celebrations continue! I hope every birthday is a great as my first!

PS: I forgot to mention that my granny and grandpapi Finotti sent me a nice present too. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the treats out of the Tug-A-Jug, but thanks for thinking of me!

Guess what day it is?

Today is my Birthday!!! Today I turn 1 year old! Can you even believe that it's been one whole year (minus 6 weeks) since my mami and papi picked me out and took me home with them. We've had so many wonderful times together and I've been to so many places in my short life, what a lucky girl I am!

Today we're going to Boulder, Colorado to spend the day hiking and having fun. Mami and papi promised me all their attention today and I can't wait to be spoiled. When we get home mami says there is going to be a celebration......I can't even imagine what it will be like since I've never had a birthday before. I'll just have to wait and see!
